Covering approximately 160 km (about 2 hours 35 minutes), this scenic inland-to-coastal journey takes you from Podgorica Airport through Montenegro’s mountain heartland and gently down to the peaceful seaside village of Njivice.

Step 1: Start Your Journey from Podgorica Airport

• Exit Podgorica Airport and start driving around Podgorica bypass roads
• At the first roundabout take the 2nd exit onto E65 / E85 road 
• After 3.5 km leave E65 / E80 road taking the 3rd exit from roundabout and continue driving toward Cetinje
• After the next 3.5 km at the roundabout take the 1st exit onto M2.3 road.
• After the next 2.7 km at the roundabout take the 3rd exit onto M18 / E762 road toward cities of Danilovgrad and Niksic.
• Drive 17.3 km to Danilovgrad, enjoying wide open landscapes and mountain views along the way.

Step 2: Pass by Danilovgrad and Continue Toward Nikšić

• At the roundabout do not enter into the Danilovgrad. Take the 2nd exit and stay stay on the M18 / E762 road toward Niksic
• Drive 32 km to Niksic, enjoying wide open landscapes and mountain views along the way.

Step 3: Pass Through Nikšić and Continue Toward 

• Take the ramp to M6 (Hercegovacki put) and do not enter into the city of Niksic itself.
• Drive 31 km to the Vilusi Village staying on the M6 road.

Step 3: Leave the M6 road and continue toward Lipci and Boka Kotor Bay

• At the outskirts of the Villusi Village, turn left from the M6 road onto the P11 Road.
• Drive 39 km to the Lipci Village while staying on the P11 road.
• This section offers beautiful panoramic views of Boka Bay as you approach the coast.

Step 4: Join the Jadranska Magistrala Road

• At Lipci roundabout , take the 1st exit onto the E65 (Jadranska Magistrala Road) toward Herceg Novi / Igalo.
• Stay on the main coastal road and enjoy the drive along the bay.

Step 5: Drive Through Coastal Villages

• Continue on the E65 road for 12 km, passing through charming coastal villages like Kostajnica, Kamenari, Bijela, Baosici, Djenovici, Kumbor, Zelenika, and Meljine.
• At the Meljine roundabout, take the second exit to stay on the main road toward Herceg Novi and Igalo.

Step 6: Look for the Njivice Turn

• Drive another 6.7 km, passing through Herceg Novi and Igalo.
• Watch for the HDL mall on your right; opposite it, on your left, you’ll see a sign for Njivice.

Step 7: Leave the Jadranska Magistrala and Turn Toward Njivice

• Turn left onto Vojvode Luke Vukalovica Street, a wide and smooth road leading to Njivice.
• Drive 2.3 km, passing the Holiday Lounge Bar on your right. Shortly after, look for the Njivice sign and turn left onto a narrow village road.

Step 10: Enter Njivice and Arrive at Villa Boka Sunrise

• Drive 750 meters on the village road to reach the villa. Be mindful of oncoming traffic as the road is narrow.

Missed us? If you pass the villa, drive another 100 meters, and the road ends at the entrance gate of Iberostar Herceg Novi Hotel.

Covering approximately 117 km (about 2 hours 21 minutes), this scenic journey takes you from Podgorica Airport across Montenegro’s historic heart and lively coastline, ending in the peaceful seaside village of Njivice.

Step 1: Start Your Journey from Podgorica Airport

• Exit Podgorica Airport and at the first roundabout take the 2nd exit onto E65 / E85 road 
• After 3.5 km leave E65 / E80 road taking the 3rd exit from roundabout and continue driving toward Cetinje
• After next 3.5 km at the roundabout take the 2nd exit onto M2.3 road toward Cetinje
• Drive 27 km to Cetinje, enjoying mountain scenery and open views along the way.

Step 2: Pass Through Cetinje and Continue Toward Budva

• As you reach Cetinje, follow signs for Budva.
• Enter at the roundabout, take the 2nd exit and stay on the M2.3 road
• Stay on the M2.3 road to Budva for the next 27 km, winding through beautiful hills and traditional villages.
  

Step 3: Arrive in Budva and Join the Jadranska Magistrala (E65 Coastal Road)

• Upon reaching Budva, follow signs for Kotor / Herceg Novi.
• Enter at the roundabout, take the 1st exit and join the E65 Jadranska Magistrala Road, Montenegro’s main coastal route.
• Expect lively seaside views, especially during summer months.
  

Step 4: Drive Along the Budva Riviera Toward Herceg Novi / Kotor

• Continue on the E65 for approximately 18.7 km, passing through the City of Budva and several villages.
• Enter at the roundabout, take the 2nd exit and stay on the main Jadranska Magistrala road, following signs for Herceg Novi (not for Kotor)

Step 5: Drive Along the Tivat Riviera Toward Herceg Novi

• Drive 10 km passing the Tivat airport and through the city of Tivat and its suburbs toward the village of Lepetane. 
• Usually it can be crowded during the summer season.

Step 6: Cross the Bay of Kotor by Ferry

• At Lepetane, board the ferry to Kamenari, a quick and efficient way to cross the Bay of Kotor.
• Tickets: Purchase your ticket (5 euros for a small car) before boarding.
• Timing: The ferry runs frequently, but waiting times may vary during peak seasons.
• Relax and enjoy the breathtaking views of the Boka Bay on the short 5-minute crossing. Once off the ferry, turn left onto the E65 road (Jadranska Magistrala Road).

Step 7: Drive Through Coastal Villages

• Continue on the E65 road for 12 km, passing through charming coastal villages like Bijela, Baosici, Djenovici, Kumbor, Zelenika, and Meljine.
• At the Meljine roundabout, take the second exit to stay on the main road toward Herceg Novi and Igalo.

Step 8: Look for the Njivice Turn

• Drive another 6.7 km, passing through Herceg Novi and Igalo.
• Watch for the HDL mall on your right; opposite it, on your left, you’ll see a sign for Njivice.

Step 9: Leave the Jadranska Magistrala and Turn Toward Njivice

Covering approximately 114 km (about 2 hours 22 minutes), this comfortable and scenic journey takes you from Podgorica Airport to the peaceful seaside village of Njivice, with a relaxing ferry crossing over the Bay of Kotor.

Step 1: Start Your Journey from Podgorica Airport

• Exit Podgorica Airport and start driving around Podgorica bypass roads
• At the first roundabout take the 2nd exit onto E65 / E80 road 
• After 1.5 km take the 3rd exit from roundabout and continue driving toward Tunnel Sozina and stay on the E65 / E80 road

Step 2: Drive on E65 / E80 road Toward Sozina Tunnel

• Drive 27.5 km to reach the tunnel.
• Sozina Tunnel note: it is 5.6 km long, is tolled (paid on-site) and significantly shortens the travel time.
• After exiting the Sozina Tunnel, continue driving toward E65 / E80 road.

Step 3: Reach the Coastline Area 

• Drive 6.3 km and then carefully approach a big crossing. 
• Turn left and continue onto E65 (Jadranska Magistrala) road. 

Step 4: Drive Toward Budva, Tivat and Herceg Novi to Boka Bay Ferry

• Drive through Petrovac, Budva, Tivat and many charming coastal villages in-between staying permanently on the main E65 Jadranska Magistrala road. 
• After 56,5 km you will reach the village of Lepetane and reach the Boka Bay Ferry. 

Step 5: Cross the Bay of Kotor by Ferry

• At Lepetane, board the ferry to Kamenari, a quick and efficient way to cross the Bay of Kotor.
• Tickets: Purchase your ticket (5 euros for a small car) before boarding.
• Timing: The ferry runs frequently, but waiting times may vary during peak seasons.
• Relax and enjoy the breathtaking views of the Boka Bay on the short 5-minute crossing. Once off the ferry, turn left onto the E65 road (Jadranska Magistrala Road).

Covering 7.6 km (approximately 14 minutes), this short but scenic journey takes you from the vibrant streets of Herceg Novi to the peaceful seaside retreat of Njivice.

Step 1: Begin Your Journey

• Exit the Herceg Novi Bus Station and turn left onto Jadranska Magistrala Road (E65).
• Drive 4.6 km through the Herceg Novi and Igalo, enjoying lively local atmosphere.

Step 2: Spot the Njivice Turn

• Keep an eye out for the HDL mall on your right. Directly across from it, you’ll see the Njivice sign on your left.

Step 3: Head Toward Njivice

• Turn left onto Vojvode Luke Vukalovica Street, a wide and easy-to-navigate road.
• Drive 2.3 km, passing the Holiday Lounge Bar on your right. Shortly after, look for the Njivice sign directing you into village.

Step 4: Enter Njivice and Arrive at Villa Boka Sunrise

• Turn left onto a narrow village road and drive 750 meters to reach the villa. Be mindful of oncoming vehicles as you navigate this cozy street.
